Scottish film production company Scotica Film approached us to raise awareness of its latest offering Hardangerfolk, a documentary which followed an international team of military experts, who retraced the footsteps of a death-defying World War Two mission in perilous conditions to stop Hitler developing atomic weapons.
The four-month project was also designed to attract viewers and promote its appearances at international film festivals.
We developed a range of topical news stories to coincide with the 80th anniversary of the top-secret British-led mission in Norway, known as Operation Gunnerside, in 2023.
We targeted national UK media and Scottish outlets due to the client being based near Glasgow.
During the campaign, we secured nine articles, included Metro, MSN, leading national Scottish title the Daily Record, and Spanish national newspaper La Razón.
This led to an estimated international audience of 601 million, including 18 brand mentions and two backlinks. The articles were subsequently shared on social media 59 times, attracting 79 engagements.
Scotica Film founder and director Gregor D Sinclair was also interviewed live on BBC Scotland’s flagship TV news programme The Nine. Hardangerfolk was also featured by The Scotsman.
"It was really helpful to work with Steven on this campaign, which did a lot to get the word out about our project and secure some very high-profile media appearances.
"The audience figures speak for themselves, and have been very useful in showing funders and clients the PR value of these works.
"Steven was attentive, honest and communicative throughout, and we look forward to working with him again in the future."
