Manchester tax consultancy Forbes Dawson approached us in May 2023 to raise its profile and enhance its position as an industry leader on an ongoing, retained basis.
We were also enlisted to grow the business’s LinkedIn profile.
As part of our media strategy, we produced a series of topical news stories and focused on supplying expert comment around key tax-related issues, including bi-annual Budgets, for the business, which is led by managing partners Laura Hutchinson and Andrew Marr (pictured above).
We also worked with top-tier media to develop newsworthy thought leadership opportunities.
Furthermore, we began managing the Forbes Dawson’s LinkedIn activity to grow its social media presence and promote its weekly Tax Bites blog.
In the first 12 months, we secured 50 articles for Forbes Dawson – an average of more than four pieces of coverage per month - including in The Times, Investors’ Chronicle, Smooth Radio, MSN, global news agency Reuters, Yahoo! News, Investing.comBBC Radio Manchester, the businessdesk.com and IFA Magazine, among many others.
This led to an estimated international audience of 899 million, including 92 brand mentions and four backlinks. The articles were subsequently shared on social media 66 times, attracting 63 engagements.
The consultancy’s LinkedIn channel also grew significantly, with more than 900 new followers and increased social engagement.
Forbes Dawson partner Tom Minnikin became a regular expert commentator on tax issues.

“The agency has consistently secured top-tier media placements, including many of the biggest national and international news platforms, which has given us the perfect opportunity to enhance awareness of Forbes Dawson and demonstrate our expertise to a huge UK audience.
“We very much look forward to continuing our successful relationship with Finnoah PR for many years to come.”
